The National Advisory Committee of Experts in the Field of Immunization of the Ministry of Health of Moldova allowed the use of 10 types of vaccines against COVID-19 in the republic, including the Russian Sputnik V, according to the press service of the Ministry of Health.


“On March 3, a meeting of the National Advisory Committee of Immunization Experts was held, during which the vaccination process was discussed. The members of the committee approved the use of vaccines in Moldova, which received authorization in the countries of origin and were included in the WHO lists, ”reads a statement published on the agency’s website.


As a result, the following vaccines were approved: Pfizer Biontech, AstraZeneca - UK, AstraZeneca - Sk Bio, AstraZeneca - SII, Sinopharm, Sinovac, Moderna, Janssen, The Gamaleya National Center ("Sputnik V"), CanSinoBio. The Ministry of Health added that this list can be expanded.


Let us remind you that at the end of February the former President of the country Igor Dodon announced that the drug "Sputnik V" was registered in Moldova. And the day before, vaccination against coronavirus started in Moldova. The long-awaited drug arrived from Romania the day before. This is 21 thousand doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine.
