expanded meeting of the Interior Ministry board, Russian President Vladimir
Putin said that the country is currently working on the issue of protecting law
enforcement officers and their families, including from threats on social
networks.
“The state will continue to create decent conditions of service
in the internal affairs bodies, to increase the level of legal and social
protection of employees,” the head of state said.
According to him, it is necessary to punish those who obstruct
the work of law enforcement officers.
"To the fullest extent of the law, those who try to
interfere, all the more aggressively interfere with the work of the internal
affairs bodies, the work of law enforcement officials, will be punished,"
he added.
The President also called for the introduction of new forms of evidence collection in criminal cases. The Russian leader drew attention to the changing nature of criminal threats. According to him, advanced technologies now affect all spheres of life.
